Job Description

Responsibilities Responsible for the tactical and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of client accounts. Operate at a strategic level to develop and retain consultative relationships with clients. Conduct annual reviews of client insurance programs, negotiate with carriers on the client’s behalf based on detailed market knowledge. Recommend appropriate coverages, limits, and risk management solutions to clients. Acquire and retain large, complex clients through deep understanding of risk and insurance architecture; communicate this knowledge in alignment with client operations. Develop trusted partnerships with key insurance company partners and broker representatives. Lead internal discussions on client renewals, including coverage and pricing comparisons, historical loss experience, and projected loss picks. Prepare complex submissions for the marketplace (loss picks, deductible stratification, endorsement requests, exposure information). Coordinate client teams to ensure service standards and deliverables exceed client expectations. Assess final audits to ensure accuracy between client and insurance company partner audit teams’ identification of risk. Actively build trusting relationships with clients, insurance company partners, brokers, and the firm’s advisors, partners, and leaders through integrity and industry expertise. Share deep insurance expertise with firm’s advisors, client managers, and other colleagues to advise, develop, and train. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills that inspire loyalty and commitment. Ability to analyze complex risk exposures and existing coverages; develop and communicate appropriate recommendations through risk mapping. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong technical knowledge of insurance coverage, contracts, market conditions, and carrier underwriting appetites with the ability to adjust strategy to protect future interests. Sound judgment and decision-making based on objective analysis and multiple perspectives. Alignment with the organization’s core values and culture. Education & Experience Obtain and maintain state insurance license(s) as required; or willingness to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment. Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience. Designations preferred: CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM.
